Sometimes putting my three year old to bed can be quite the ordeal. There is always a routine and it isn't set by me ~ the mother. Eden has it all planned out. Tonight after numerous times of tucking her in, tucking in Dolly, tucking in Lucy (the other doll), giving kisses to all three, giving kisses to all three in the right order... I was fed up.
"Eden, I'm not playing any more. There will be no more games. You are to lie down and go to sleep. Do not get out of bed."
Eden raises her eyebrows while closing her eyes, and then opens them very slowly. She then proceeds to put her hand under my chin to relay her rules.
"Mom, you are not allowed to get on the phone or make it "ring ring". You are not allowed to jump on the bed or read any books. You can't make noise when you clean the kitchen. Do you understand? Yes or no?"
I decided to be a good example of how one should respond when given rules...
"Yes, ma'am. Goodnight."

Your family is so adorable. Melissa had a blast watching your kids today. She can't believe Eden is younger than my Levi. Her comment was Eden is so mature, and she was surprised Eden knew about girls and their big chests. She laughed about that for a long time.
It's good to see you all grown up. I watch your blog often and love to see you as a wife and mommy.

Ok I think that Eden has inherited some of that 'Roundy' witt. You are in for quite a ride. What is that they say at Lagoon. "Keep your hands in and enjoy the ride".

Oh that Eden!!! I love that girl. It was so fun hanging out with her and getting to know that sassy little personality.
That is one of the funniest things i have read in a long time!! SASSY, but in a good way!! She has you figured out!! Hope this 3rd year is easier on our poor guys!! 2 down, 4 to go.........
