*We interrupt this blogging break for something I couldn't pass up*...
An opportunity to show off my favorite picture of my mother and me taken on the day I was brought home from the hospital in 1977.
Now that I've had children of my own, this picture means so much more to me. I understand her overwhelming emotions of exhaustion, and tender love for her precious newborn. And to know that the newborn was me; I feel her close by in my heart even though right now she is thousands of miles away living in the Philippines serving others.Mom, thanks for a life's dedication of teaching, nurturing, and loving me. I love you forever!

This is so sweet. That cute little pixie haircut looks like Nickel.
Nothing is more special and sacred than that of a mothers love for her children!
Love the photo!
I remember you as that little baby. You were very sweet. Also you were adored by all your older siblings. I have always thought your mother is beautiful. This picture shows her inner beauty as well.
Aunt Glenna
um.. Carolyn... Merry Christmas! That made my day! I do in fact remember doing this! I was a weirdo, what can I say? :)
Yeah, I love that woman too.
How blessed you are, and how wonderful that you know it!
Yah, funny how your perspective and understanding change and grow. Especially your appreciation for great parents. And your siblings did adore you. Still do.
So perfect for Mother's day. Such a sweet tribute.
That is so precious! What a great Mother's Day present.
