I hate these things! I find them so annoying. I don't know why but every time I eat a piece of fruit with one of these stupid stickers, I find myself totally bugged that I have to peel them off. Why does this have to bother me so much? Maybe it's not always necessary to take them off all my fruit (like a banana), but I can't sleep at night unless I do. Crazy, weird, strange? Most likely because any of those could be my middle name. I don't understand it, but I don't understand many things in this life of mine.
Other meaningless things I despise:
- When a plastic cup from the dishwasher has turned right side up while being washed and is now filled with water.
- A new paper towel roll and the first one has to be "stuck" down.
- Licking an envelope shut.

I have my husband lick all envelopes for me or else I use a wet sponge. It grosses me out. This feeling probably increased after watching the Seinfield episode where George's fiance dies from licking envelopes.
You're not alone, sista! When I get home from the grocery store, I peel all those stupid fruit stickers off before I put the fruit away.
And I buy the envelopes that have the paper you peel off with sticky stuff underneath, but then I'm annoyed about having to throw away all those peel tab papers.....

Hey, well if Jen has the same problem with the stickers as I do then maybe I'm okay!
Should I reveal here that both Jen and Carolyn like to have all matching white hangers in their closets? No colors...no wire hangers! (insert a certain movie title here!). There have actually been hanger "exchanges" where she brings me color ones and I give her my white ones.
How did I miss this boat of needing things neat and a certain way? I'm not making fun of you though. I am the sister that has been known to just eat those stupid stickers with my fruit...and frankly I'm sure that's worse! :)
Little pet peeves, we all have them. That's pretty funny about the fruit sticker. Do you stick them on your children?
This may not comfort you, but, it all makes perfect sense to me!!
Carolyn, I'm with ya on this one but, can you agree with me on this... I hate when the stores put sickers on your new shirts {like S, M, L} & you forget to pull them off. Marlee said to me while we were at parent teacher conference..
"Mom WHAT is that big "L" doing on your boob" So, needless to say I think those kind of stickers are such "buggers" too!!!!! :)
You gotta love the honesty in little kids!
My kids LOVE the stickers on those little oranges that say "cuties," etc. They stick them on themselves because they're so cute! I usually end up sticking the apple ones on the counter and Jeromy throws them away.
I think you're justified in all your little annoyances! I might need a therapist for my fear of wooden popsicle sticks. Just thinking about them is like scratching a chalkboard!
