Pop Rocks Save the Day!

This candy has worked wonders for our potty training endeavors. The first day was pretty rough, I'm not going to lie. Okay, and by day two I admit to calling up my sister asking how badly would I psychologically damage my daughter if I quit the potty training all together and just stuck her diaper back on. But once Eden caught on to her reward for doing "the business"... it was smooth sailing. Well, kind of."Dad! Dad! I just love Pop Rocks. I love to eat them. I love Pop Rocks. Did you know I love Pop Rocks, Dad?"Leave it to Eden to be different. I asked if she wanted me to turn her crown around for her, "No Mom, it's gorgeous like this way!"

Keep up the good work!:) I hate potty training! It's every mom's worst NIGHTMARE! Psychologially nothing!!! Seriously, you do what ever it takes!
Go pop rocks!!

Eden is one of my FAVORITES! I LOVE how she's her own person - now where does she get that from?!

And it does look gorgeous the way she has it.

I love to wear my crown any way I want too...you go Eden!

Potty training, huh! With 4 boys I gave up! Geoffrey had to BEG for underwear! I told him I had learned my lesson and he had to wait for kindergarten. Of course he didn't. He wanted to prove me wrong. Just make sure Eden thinks it is her idea! I also have left a ransome note for a favorite stuffed animal with one of them to. It was from the "potty fairy". I am sure I did damage with that one. The best was Chandler, who wanted a bowl of oatmeal as his "treat". By day 4 I found him peeing outside, when I asked why he didn't use the toilet, he started crying saying "no more oatmeal mommy PLEASE!" Then I had to explain...Like I said, I gave up!

Just know when people say that they trained their child in a week or less--they are LYING (or they have amnesia)! It takes time. And lots of it. You're a good mom, so don't worry about ruining her, she's going to be just fine. And we still give Andrew a treat for going #2 on occasion-I'm all about using sugar as a reward.

What a character she is..

A week later and I am wondering how it is going. You gave me the courage to start again with Rory on Monday and after peeing on the floor three times she was back in diapers by 11 am. Probably not a good idea to start on a monday as we were all a little testy-maybe we'll try on a wednesday next week. Good luck...it is such a drag. Darn, I still can't remember my password-it's Jen B.
