My parents left for the Philippines to serve a mission... I got the old wing back chairs. Well, a week before we were moving out to the south I decided it would be perfect timing to learn something new. I signed up for a reupholstering class. It was no small undertaking and very bad timing! Needless to say, I didn't quiet finish before the big move. But last night the last staple went in! I'm done or... at least with the first one. Never under estimate a staple gun! The middle pic shows the fabric color best.

TaDa! After: (please don't look closely)
Hopefully someday in the near future, I'll be blogging about new hardwood floors and the paint color finally going on the walls. We'll be moved in someday!

Your chair looks really good. Maybe you'll remember that Mom had those chairs recovered once before. Originally they were green (like the ones in Bonnie's house). So she had the flowery fabric put on. Now you impoved on that. Are you talented or what?
Dad
Carolyn,
I am so impressed! You are so multi-faceted with your talents! Hair, blogging, furniture reupholstering, fig cookie making....does it ever end?
Ditto to Jill's comment. Do you want to come do a few chairs I have?
WOW!!! Impressive! And you did that all with a staple gun?? Okay, you need to come up to my house--we can go to some estate sales, pick up some old chairs and then you can reholster them all for ME. Lovely. Very impressed.
I think the word of the day is "impressive."
wow, carolyn, that is awesome! i'm seriously impressed.
Yeah whatever I could do that in my sleep!
Sorry...natural reaction when I here too much praising to Carolyn! :) Little sister syndrome.
To be honest, I don't even think the picture does it justice. The fabric she used is really beautiful. Can you take a close up of the fabric?
Wow! I never even knew you were in a class over here in Vegas. Where did you take it? The results like others have said are impressive. Maybe it would be a great class to take for someone who is hopeless like me. Again, impressive and love the fabric choice.
