Snow Day in Memphis

In Memphis, when it snows an inch...

...morning surgeries are canceled for eye docs!

...schools are canceled for kids!

So we chased around Dad in the backyard.

We had a snowball fight.

Luckily the only target was Dad and he is hard to miss.

We went for a walk around the neighborhood to confirm it really had snowed at everyone's house, not just ours.  And then we were frozen, so warm baths and hot chocolate fixed everything.

I hope we survive those Denver winters next year!  I wonder how much snow they have to get before school's canceled?

They call this a snow day? I had to zoom in to see the few flakes on the ground. =) Try 2 feet in about 24 hours, that will give you a snow day here in Denver.

Yep, it has to snow a LOT more than that to cancel school here! And Jeromy has never gotten to stay home just because of a silly thing like 2 feet of snow. When it snows a lot, I check the school district website in the morning to see if there's a late start or a snow day, but more often than not, life just goes on. Although it's been so cold here the past 2 days that I feel like things should be canceled, even though there's not a ton of snow. Why should we have to go outside at all when it's 3 degrees?

Your girls will love the snow. My kids think they need hot chocolate every time they come inside from playing in the snow.

That looks like a WONDERFUL day! I wish my husband would be able to stay home when it snows a bunch here.

It looks like to me that your family will love the Denver winters! :)
