How would I have ever known that this sweet peaceful little sleeping babe...
...with those gorgeous blue eyes and perfect little face...
...would grow up to be this silly clever full of energy 4 year old!
Aunt Cathy made the invites!
Monday was her birthday and the first official "friend party".
Eden and her sister LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba.
Go figure. It's a show on Nick Jr. It's weird and kind of creepy, yet pretty funny once you make yourself sit through an episode. My favorite song they sing is entitled "Don't bite your friends". I sing it to Ava quite often.
We played a "dance party game". They could see themselves on our TV and were suppose to do the dance move of what ever character the spinner landed on. Yay, this didn't really go over too well as you can see from the picture of NO ONE dancing. Finally I let them have a free for all. A couple of them (with Eden as ring leader) went crazy while the others wiggled their behinds maybe twice. Way to get the party started! We had a quiet bunch.
Maybe a good game of "Pin the Flower on Foofa" would liven things up.
Eden tried to cheat...
...and then assisted everyone else in cheating.
Such a good helper.
She had a Foofa cake. I don't know how people find cake decorating enjoyable. I've learned I really detest decorating a cake! Just so you are aware.
Once the kids got some sugar in them, they started to loosen up.
We opened presents and then played to our hearts content until their parents came.
Everyone got to go home with a grooven Dance Party Sound Track in their goody bag.
Happy Birthday Miss Eden! You mean the world to me. I love you so much, I'll even try to decorate your cake for you next year!

What a cute party idea. I love the invites that Cathy did.
Eden's eyes are beautiful!
Your comment about the cake made laugh. I make birthday cakes, and every time I make one, I say to myself, "Why can't I just go buy a cake like normal people?!" What a fun idea for a bday party - you're so creative. I've yet had the courage to do a "friend" party. Happy Birthday Eden!
Those invites are fun! I have never seen that show but blake and I always see that stuff at the store and laugh...we think it is wierd. But I can see why kids like it. The cake turned out cute too.
Happy Birthday Eden!
So fun. Good job. Looks groovin' to me!
Love the CD idea...
The voice of the green guy was Michael's Sunbeam teacher here in CA. So we've seen a few episodes... did Aaron play the part of the DJ guy??
What a fun party. And those invitations---well, those are just way too cute.
What a fun mom you are! That party looked awesome. And lucky Eden, that's a big group of friends!
I know, I don't like cake decorating either, maybe it's because i always feel like mine don't turn out well, but yours is so cute. Amzie had a great time!
I love the picture of Eden with the colorful boquet of balloons - very cute. And yes, Cathy did an awesome job with the invites!
SO MUCH FUN!!! Eden said I could be invited to her birthday party next year. YIPEE!!!
I'll be practicing my dance moves......
Happy Birthday Eden-girl!
Hip hip hooray! She's back! Thank you Eden for having a birthday and giving mommy a fun thing to post about. Love the CD's and you are no slouch when it comes to cake decorating!
Amen to the last comment. Great Post. Love all the party ideas. I really wish Nora could have been there. She would live it up with that dance party mix. Way to go Carolyn.
I can't believe she's 4! I just don't know where the time goes! For detesting cake decorating, you sure did a great job!
I LOVE it all! What a fun party. I'll have to show Stella. I'm sure she'd want to make it her next party. Happy Birthday Eden!
I'm impressed. I love the invites. Way to go Cathy! Does she have her own business? Let me know. Cute cake. It looked like everything went smooth. You are an official "Party Planner!"
Happy Birthday Eden.
