I finally let Eden have her one and only wish to make cookies. No, I can't remember ever doing this with her before. I like to think I have, but I also have a bad memory. Needless to say she was very very happy. I kept asking her if she needed to go potty. She reassured me she didn't, it just really was the "happy dance".
Eden would only allow one cookie to be cut out at a time, right in the center. That dough was really worked!
But another thing Eden LOVES to do any time the flour is out... eat it! One time I finally put some in a little bowl for her with a spoon... and now it is a ritual. Yuck, huh? But then I used to do this too as a kid.
And just for good times ~ here I am about the same age. This picture brings back so many memories. I remember those chairs; the wood paneling. I remember that vinyl table cloth. Anytime it was on the table, you knew good things were in store! I remember those cookie cutters and I remember that rolling pin vividly. It reminds me of my mother. Confession Mom: I actually took it home with me last time I was at your house. You weren't using it, right? I left you another one just in case.

These pictures are so cute. Eden does look so grown up....except when she eats the spoonful of flour (yes, YUCK!) And what an adorable pic. of you, too. I even remember that big white mixer bowl. So what did you do with that rolling pin....I noticed Eden was not allowed to use it. And I like your countertops and your shiny wood floor in the background!
For a second, I thought that was Rachael Ray helping you in the kitchen.
This is a cute blog. Eden is almost as cute as her mom was back a few years (and still is). Darling pictures. Darling kids.
So cute! Amzie pointed at one of the pics and said "she looks like Carolyn in that one"
Speaking of flour fun, remember the huge flour mess we made at your house the summer we stayed for a week?
"It was a cold day for that Carolyn, brr...."
Good times.
Such a baker! Love the last picture of you. Before you know it she'll be wanting to do it every week.
I love the fact that you stole your mom's rolling pin. I wish I could steal stuff from my mom's kitchen but she would probably be all sorts of angry.
She is a d o r a b l e.... what fun memories with mom!!!! :)
Rolling pins must be a hot item right now. I just took one from my mother-in-law. I wonder what we could get for them on the black market?
