We actually had a babysitter over a few nights ago...
Phone ringing ~
Babysitter: Hello?
Person (in a whisper voice): Is it safe to talk?
Babysitter: Uh, do you know this isn't Carolyn?
Person: OH! This is just her sister, I'll call back later.
Phone ringing ~
Babysitter: Hello?
Person: Are we still on for our appointment tomorrow night? Because if not, I'm going to come over there and kick your butt!
Babysitter (thinking maybe this really is a prank call): Ummm, who is this?
Person: Isn't this Carolyn?
Babysitter: No this is the babysitter.
Person: OH! Girl, don't worry about it. This is just her visiting teaching partner. Tell her I have our appointment set up for tomorrow at 7 and she better be ready.
True or False?
When your phone rings and you answer it, does it ever start off with a normal conversation? Mine do not, as my babysitter now knows.

My pet peeve is when people continue the coversation and you seriusly have NO idea who you are talking to! Hey girl, I'm so glad to found my blog! That's great. Poor babysitter. Is it the same one?? She might think something fishy is going on in your house. My telephone conversations are pretty normal.
