And In This Corner We Have...

Last week, I decided it was about time to have my girls finally share a room. Poor Ava was still sleeping in the pack n play in the play room. Actually she loved it. Maybe you might remember the post of a video when I caught her "bouncing"? Well that was the first day of what has become Ava's constant all time thing. She bounces all day everyday, and everywhere. She bounces in her car seat, in her high chair, and in the stroller. You would think the hard wooden crib would be troublesome of this habit... uh, no. Before naps, after naps, before bedtime, and in the mornings, you can hear a loud banging sound which would be the back of Ava's skull hitting the crib posts.

But all in all I think this room sharing thing is going quite well. Like the other night for example, we only had to go in their room to "referee" about three times.

Time # One: We hear Ava screaming and Eden singing at the top of her lungs. We go in to find Eden standing on the rocking chair with all her books strewn about and belting out 'Part of Your World' by the Little Mermaid. Ava is standing in her crib protesting this performance by throwing out all her blankets and screaming... or maybe she was just trying to join in. I don't know, it was all just one noisy mass of an ear screeching sound. Oh, and Eden was in a totally different set of pajamas than what she was put to bed in.

Time # Two: Ava is yelling out in the "I need help" tone of voice. I enter to find every last one of the brand new, just opened, full box of wet wipes individually scattered about Ava's crib. A wet mess. Hmmm, I wonder how those spontaneously got there? Did you see anything, Eden? Oh yeah, and Eden is now in her third set of pajamas for the night.

Time # Three: We hear a louder than normal BANG in the crib. Even louder than the before mentioned "bouncing" of Ava's brain. Upon arriving we see Ava down in one corner of the crib crying. The BANG actually was her head. Also in the crib and with a guilty grin is Eden looking up at us. And she is buck naked!

Oh man! I love all the jammies. I'm sure you didn't at the time, but aren't you glad you'll remember this forever?

You are daring. I will now postpone this event for another time then when I was thinking.

Ok, maybe David and I shouldnt have another baby in this house and have them share a room!! I dont see why Ava didnt enjoy her private performance of a Little Mermaid classic!!

That sounds like fun. I wouldn't call it fun for Ava because I am not sure I would want my naked sister laying on top of me. But probably fun for Eden because she has someone to watch her show, and if that person is not watching you just hit their head against a hard crib. Perfect.

Oh dear...nice way to start of the evening. Eden probably thought it was a fun sleepover. I love how she is always singing.

This made me laugh out loud! What a hilarious night. Maybe you should put Ava to bed wearing a bike helmet.
