Bok bok





These two birds are what our little chicks are going to grow up to look like! A Buff Orpington and a Speckled Sussex. Yes you heard me right... we are getting chickens. The stork (mail carrier) is due to deliver our chicks Wednesday August 8.

Can they lay eggs? That would be cool to have fresh eggs for breakfast.

I can not wait to see these little chickadees! You had better take lots of pics of the baby chicks and your baby chicks looking at them! :)

They will lay eggs when they mature which won't be until they are anywhere from 4-6 months. Then they should lay one egg every 25 hours. Some hens skip a day, so we will see how often ours lay.
